In fact, it has been honored as the WTA's International Tournament Of The Year a record eight times, including every year from 1995 to 2000.

Past champions include WTA greats Jennifer Capriati, Lindsay Davenport and Maria Sharapova. Mirjana Lucic-Baroni's victory in 2014 gave her the greatest gap between WTA titles in history - 16 years and four months.

Capital of the Canadian province of Québec, Québec City is famous for its historic sites, art galleries, museums, carnivals and festivals. It also hosts a variety of sports teams and events.
